HISTORICAL ERA

Lake Fork still owns half the Top 50

25 of the current 50 entries are Lake Fork fish. The list captures an extraordinary concentration from the 1980s and 1990s that still dominates the Texas record table.

MODERN ERA

O.H. Ivie is the modern giant-bass cluster

O.H. Ivie contributes 7 current Top-50 fish. TPWD reported in April 2026 that the lake has produced 63 Legacy Class ShareLunkers since the 2020 season and led the Legacy standings for the sixth straight collection season.

How the ShareLunker layer is structured

Catch events

Each archive row is stored as a catch event using the official Catch ID. Program class is preserved exactly as the source assigns it because ShareLunker class definitions changed over time. See the ShareLunker reference, known individual giant bass and the data model for the connected layers.

Individual fish

When TPWD genetics or recapture reporting confirms that two catch events were the same fish, those events can be connected to one individual-fish record without guessing from similar weights.

Waterbody profiles

Lake pages can show Top-50 fish, ShareLunker totals by year/class, largest entries, known recaptures and authoritative TPWD lake information.
